In this plush sculpture, purple, green, and blue eyes with luscious lashes circulate an arrangement of white lilies and peacock feathers. As the artist notes, "When making these pieces I am thinking about the history of feminist art that looks at the objectification of women's bodies. I want to flip the expectation and look at how objects become human." Escudero received an MFA in Sculpture from the Yale University School of Art in 2012. Her exhibitions have been reviewed in Cultured Magazine and The Brooklyn Rail, among other publications.
