The duo's experimental practice is interested in fusing opposites and seeks a plurality of understanding. "the mirror itself" sets stage at a bathroom sink in an unknown dimension with the presence of a strange being at a sink. The shifted planes and reflections invite the viewer into the outer realm the work inhabits as though stepping through 'the mirror itself.' The work is a pyrographed drawing made over banak wood with copper inserts.
