This piece by Louise Kramer, is part of a unique series of monoprints on paper, created by running inksoaked cloth through a press. The artists was influence by her mother’s experiences as a dressmaker and unionist to incorporate fabric into her printmaking practice. The Whitney Museum of American Art recognized these early efforts and featured her work in their 1976 show New Forms in Printmaking.
