Jarosław Fliciński (born 1965 in Gdańsk), graduate of the Gdańsk University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture, and of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Faculty of Painting. Since the 1980s participant of numerous exhibitions and residency programmes worldwide, including New York, Marf or Amsterdam. Fliciński is a painter who experiments with the media through the use of photographs, videos or sound in his works. Except for canvas paintings, he also creates painting environments, entering into a creative dialogue with the architecture of exhibition space. His works are abstractions, composed of geometrical models - stars, circles, lines, or simplified wallpaper patterns.
